John Wilson
Director of Sustainability
John Wilson is the Director of Sustainability for Amcor Flexibles North America, based in Neenah, WI. In this role, he oversees development and execution of Amcor’s sustainability strategy across the pillars of product innovation, collaborative engagement, and sharing expertise to educate and empower consumers. John has worked in the packaging industry for 19 years in a variety of roles and he believes packaging sustainability is a critical differentiator for Amcor’s CPG customers and the consumers they serve. His work focuses on setting and meeting ambitious targets for recyclability of plastic packaging, incorporation of recycled content into that packaging to create a circular economy, and reducing the environmental impact of Amcor’s manufacturing operations where the packaging is produced.
Desmond VanHouten
Sr. Marketing Manager
Desmond VanHouten is a Senior Marketing Manager for Amcor Flexibles North America, based in Oshkosh, WI. In his current role Desmond leads a team focused on Confection, Snacks, Nuts & Seeds, Fresh and Frozen, as well as support the Grocery, Consumer and Industrial team on sustainability initiatives. Prior to becoming a senior marketing manager, Desmond was the R&D Manager for Amcor Flexibles North America with a team supporting the development of polyethylene packaging including developing structures that contain PCR materials. Desmond had been in R&D roles for over 13 years with 7 years focused on flexible packaging.
Dan Robinson
Sr. Marketing Manager
Dan Robinson is a Senior Marketing Manager for Amcor Flexibles North America, based in Chicago, IL. In his role, he leads Amcor’s Grocery, Consumer and Industrial unsupported polyethylene businesses, many of which are centered in the PCR-intensive secondary packaging space. Dan has worked in a Commercial capacity in the packaging industry for 9 years, all of which have been spent with global packaging manufacturers leading the charge toward circularity. He brings that same enthusiasm to his current role, where one of his main focuses is to deliver sustainability-focused innovation to brands and consumers alike.
